Home Studios & Offices...

When my Husband and I finally build the house I have designed my art studio/office space will look similar to this....love the clever shelving in the custom desk. This will be great to store my coral and shell collections that I have been gathering from the beach since I can remember, Grandma has collected shells from the coast for me over the years too!

This is a sophisticated tropical home office space. The colour of the chair is beautiful and matches with the oceanic prints on the wall.

Light and airy with a touch of the whimsical.

Unstructured simplicity and cozy. The string with little wooden pegs is a nice alternative to hanging frames and can easily be changed depending on the season or your mood!

Simple and light. Some people don't need a whole room for an office......unlike me who is frequently working on about 10 things at once...he he.

My favorite stylist Sibella Court!

My favourite stylist Sibella Court's book Etcetera etc...has pride of place on my hand painted bookcase.

I also have Sibella's other books which are on our coffee table.
I love the way she creates small collections of the old or mundane mixed with some new and sees the beauty and intrigue in almost anything. Like myself she sees ordinary, everyday objects & spaces and the world around us in a different and artistic way.Inspiration is everywhere!!!

Cosy up by the fire...here are some inspirational fireplaces to get you in the mood

I like the 2 way fireplace which you can enjoy from the living room and the dining room!

This is a beautiful room. I'm loving the black and white with blues and greens.. lots of indoor plants. The fireplace is subtle.

This is a cleaver way to add a fireplace to a smaller room without loosing the T.V. He He..... I love the contrast of colour and the symmetry of the custom book shelves.

OK.... If I was to build a house and I had to have a fireplace I would want one just like this...WOW....... the cleaver use of stone, timber, different levels and lights add drama to this feature fireplace.

Ahhhh I would love to have a mantle to do my Christmas decorating on too!!

As the Leaves start to fall.

The colours in these artwork evoke the Season of Autumn. As the days go by the temperature is starting to fall and so are the leaves on the trees!!! There is a soft soothing feeling with the blurring of colour and focus in these artworks.

Creative Photo Walls

Love these different variations of photo walls. You can be creative with blending different frame sizes and styles. Mix black & white with colour photo's,  postcards you have collected on trips, sketches from artists in the markets. I like to mix it up with clocks and mirrors too!!
