As I am also embarking on my own creative journey as an Interior Designer/ Artisan / Entrepreneur I have found these blogs so uplifting and encouraging. I get an amazing boost of energy from reading the blogs of other women who have had the courage to live there dream! They also give me a great sense of belief that "I" am on the right path too.

It's time to go to the Markets..........

I can't believe it's been 4 weeks since my last post!!
So much has happened at Mitchell House Interiors this October.
Well most importantly Mitchell house Interiors will have a stall this Sunday the 3rd of November @the Collective Markets Southbank, Brisbane. from 9am-4pm.

You will be able to see and purchase all the items I have been creating in my studio such as Limited Edition artworks, handmade homewares and Limited Edition Cushions and I will be releasing for the very first time my NEW BESPOKE candle range exclusive to Mitchell House Interiors.

The NEW candle range that I have been developing are Australian made in Brisbane, using 100% natural soy wax and timber wicks. I have carefully selected my fragrances to compliment my 5 key Design looks! (soon to be released)

I have been developing and coordinating with my graphic designer for a few months now and finally our brand NEW Website will be up & running this weekend in time for the opening of our Market Stall.

On a much sadder note one of my lovely clients had lost their battle with cancer earlier this month. We were just about to deliver the final accessories to finish off her beautiful Formal Living Room!
She was such a positive person & it was always a pleasure to see her & work with her.
I know she was enjoying the process of transforming their home and I am grateful for being able to be part of turning their house into a place she could relax in and one she could share with loved ones and dear friends.

Oh and it's Halloween tonight..... Happy Halloween everyone, be safe.

Spring Has Sprung!!!!!

How lovely is the Spring time weather in South East Queensland at the moment!!
It's funny how as soon as the weather starts to warm up everyone wants to start Renovating or Decorating!!

It's been a very busy month- thus the delay in getting this post to you-:-)

We are also taking full advantage of it and are in the process of renovating our back courtyard.
Here are some pictures of Phase 1-  The ugly part :-).

Phase 1: Before Shot- remove lower branches off
trees and garden logs



Start the back breaking part!!- removing old
grass and  soil and old plants out of the garden.
We are keeping the trees.

Adding the top soil and levelling it out
- already looks cleaner!!

Ahh..... the first slab of turf.
Now onto Phase 2.... the garden and edging!!

Winter is Coming!!!

Yes.... it is that time of year!
When the temperature drops as you sit on the sofa to watch your favorite T.V. program and you need to snuggle under your beloved throw rug.
Throw rugs come in many different textures and materials- from the traditional wool tartan throw, graphic woven throws in different colours and blends, alpaca/wool, to cotton/fabric. They can be knitted, crocheted, woven, or sewen, with tassles or tailored trims. Here is a selection of some beautiful throws that I love.

Female Bedroom Project- Neutral with a touch of Hawaiian!!

Amongst an array of projects I'm working on at the moment I am lucky to be doing a young females room in a neutral scheme with a few touches of Hawaii and the Tropics! I'm in my element!!
