Busy Little Bee is Me!

Where do the weeks go!
It's been full steam ahead this pass 2 weeks with some installations (photo's coming soon!) and finalizing some details on a Large Scale Commercial job that I have been working on over the pass 6 months- I can't release details yet though, but hopefully soon.
I am also starting a couple of new projects.
Here are some inspiration pictures I have found (from my Pinterest page). Enjoy.

It's "Time" I Blogged again!!

Hi everyone,
Well it has been awhile since my last post, but alot has happened since last July!!!
In August last year I started my own company- Mitchell House Interiors Pty Ltd. Therefore as you can see the name of my Blog has changed! It has been a very busy 5 months.
I am still fine tuning my Website, but it is nearly done!
I have been using my Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/MHInteriorsPtyLtd) as my Blog in the meantime.
Today I thought it would be nice to start my Blog back up.
In December (2012) I started renovating our stairwell. I had painted it Dulux Vivid White with Black Gloss handrails and posts & we added new acorn finials. Now the decorating begins- wall paper has been ordered. I have just purchased a large oversized clock- approx 80cm Diam, which I can't wait to put up, but I have to wait for the wall paper to go up first!! Then will come the pendant light and new carpet and custom artwork by yours truely.
So I thought I would post some clocks up that I have gathered on my Pinterest page-  https://pinterest.com/blondelily/.

Home Studios & Offices...

When my Husband and I finally build the house I have designed my art studio/office space will look similar to this....love the clever shelving in the custom desk. This will be great to store my coral and shell collections that I have been gathering from the beach since I can remember, Grandma has collected shells from the coast for me over the years too!

This is a sophisticated tropical home office space. The colour of the chair is beautiful and matches with the oceanic prints on the wall.

Light and airy with a touch of the whimsical.

Unstructured simplicity and cozy. The string with little wooden pegs is a nice alternative to hanging frames and can easily be changed depending on the season or your mood!

Simple and light. Some people don't need a whole room for an office......unlike me who is frequently working on about 10 things at once...he he.

I LOVE THE CONTRAST OF LIGHT WALLS, FLOORS AND CEILING WITH THE CUSTOM DARK CABINETRY.THOSE PENDANT LIGHTS ARE A STATEMENT AND ADD NATURAL TEXTURE. THE BASKETS AND RUGS ADD WARMTH AND TEXTURE TOO.

My favorite stylist Sibella Court!

My favourite stylist Sibella Court's book Etcetera etc...has pride of place on my hand painted bookcase.

I also have Sibella's other books which are on our coffee table.
I love the way she creates small collections of the old or mundane mixed with some new and sees the beauty and intrigue in almost anything. Like myself she sees ordinary, everyday objects & spaces and the world around us in a different and artistic way.Inspiration is everywhere!!!
